21. Hannah Lockwood 33 was born about Aug 1796 in Wilby, Suffolk,22,25 died on 4 Nov 1846 in Brundish, Suffolk1,34 aged about 50, and was buried on 9 Nov 1846 in Wilby, Suffolk.

General Notes: 1. The IGI record in batch 7705418 has the christening and death on the same date - 8th August 1796. However the parish record only states the burial of a Hannah Lockwood on 8th August 1796. It does not say which Hannah or her age. I believe that it is more likely to be her mother, as her father, Evans, re-married 5 years later. There was also another Hannah Lockwood born in 1796 in Wilby (the daughter of Thomas Lockwood and Sarah Aldous) but she was not christened until 27th November 1796 so I do not think the burial refers to this Hannah.
2. In the 1841 census (HO107/1028/13/21) there is an entry for a Hannah Lockwood at Glevering Hall, Hacheston, Suffolk with an age of 40

From the website at http://www.amlwchdata.co.uk/census_history.htm
"In the 1841 census ages up to 15 are listed exactly as reported/recorded but ages over 15 were rounded to the nearest 5 years (below). So, a person aged 63 would be listed on the census as age 60 years. Someone aged 69 would be recorded as 65 years".

Hannah would have been 44, so her age would have been rounded down to 40.

3. A burial record for Hannah Lockwood at Wilby on 9th November 1846 has an age of 50. It also states that she is from Brundish. Her half brother Hezekiah was living in Brundish at the time of the 1851 census. As the other Hannah was not baptised until 27th November 1796 she would not yet have had her 50th birthday. This is conjecture as it is possible to be baptised days, weeks or even years after the birth.

4. A Hannah Lockwood from Wilby married a Jonathan Larter on 8th October 1822 in Brundish. The parish record has Hannah from Aspall but later census records show her as born in Wilby.

5. The witnesses to the marriage of John Lockwood (her half brother) and Jane Cook in 1825 were John Smith and Hannah Lockwood. A John Smith and Hannah Lockwood were the parents of Aaron Smith Lockwood. This may or may not be the same John Smith. Also the other Hannah Lockwood married Jonathan Larter in 1822 so she would have been Hannah Larter.
